About this website - The letters up high read:

DOMINA  NOSTRA  ADUNATIONIS

This is the Latin translation of the title of the Blessed Virgin Mary under which our parish is dedicated. Throughout this website, there are themes of light and dark, where faith illuminates the path to learning and formation. Shown in the night sky is the Blessed Virgin Mary, holding her Son, a depiction inspired by Holy Scripture:

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.

The abundance of red roses represent the Blessed Virgin Mary, even as in Medieval times, the Rose represented The Virgin herself. Flemish and German paintings of the late Medieval period often depicted the Virgin Mary in a Paradise Garden. The cultivation of "Mary Gardens", where each flower had a symbolic meaning, was a popular gardening practice. The parish of Our Lady of the Atonement is ornate with gardens of blooming roses, reminding us of Our Mother Mary, and the Beauty of Holiness, the Beauty of God.

Roses also remind us of the miracle of Guadalupe, wherein God ushered in an era of great change to the nations of the New World. May the Rose once again prompt our children to lead our Nation in justice and peace.

A PRAYER FOR OUR SCHOOL

Our Lady of the Atonement, given to us as a Mother, pray for us.
Our Lady of the Atonement, Queen of the Children of the Atonement, pray for us.
